Single Seed Wild Bird and Wildlife Feeds

BlackOilSUNFLOWERS

BLACK OIL SUNFLOWER SEEDS
More oil and kernel, with softer shells than larger sunflower seeds, black oil sunflower seeds are the best seeds for all-purpose feeding!

Black oil sunflower seeds attract a wide variety of birds, including common species such as Chickadees, Tree Sparrows, Northern Cardinals, American Goldfinches, Tufted Titmice, Mourning Doves, Nuthatches, Carolina Wrens and House Finches.

sunflowerhearts

SUNFLOWER SEED HEARTS
Birds love sunflower seeds, and sunflower hearts are the purest form you can give them. Black oil sunflower hearts provide the most nutritious fats, oils and calories per seed.

Sunflower hearts are easy for birds to eat–there are no shells to crack open. Pure sunflower hearts are 100% edible, so they leave no messy hulls on your lawn or patio.

SafflowerSeed

SAFFLOWER SEEDS
Squirrels don’t like the bitter taste of safflower, but it attracts many birds such as Cardinals, Woodpeckers and Grosbeaks!

Trick your squirrels by mixing the safflower with sunflower seed. Gradually reduce the sunflower until only safflower seed is left. Birds continue to eat but the squirrels don’t like the taste and soon leave.

NyjerSeed

NYJER SEED
Finches simply can’t resist Nyjer seed — This is the seed to buy if you want to see flocks of beautiful goldfinches!

This high-oil seed also readily attracts siskins, redpolls, house finches, purple finches, as well as chickadees and juncos. Serve Nyjer seed in a Nyjer sock or a Nyjer tube feeder. Imported Nyjer seed is heat-treated so it can’t sprout on your lawn or in the garden!

peanutsinshell

PEANUTS IN SHELL
Great for filling squirrel diversion feeders. Peanuts also provide high-energy food to help birds to survive in cold temperatures and the calories they need in spring when nesting.

Fresh whole peanuts in the shell attract nut eaters such as woodpeckers, jays, nuthatches, titmice and Carolina wrens, as well as chipmunks and squirrels!

peanutpickouts

SHELLED PEANUT PICKOUTS
You’ll be amazed at the bird activity when you add shelled peanut pickouts to your feeders. Birds just love them!

Neither roasted or salted, these shelled and split peanuts are ready to serve, naturally full of fat and protein. Great for feeding year round.

Corn-on-the-Cob-Res

EAR CORN
Purchased seasonally from local farmers, ear corn (or “corn on the cob”) is an ideal treat for many birds and squirrels in your backyard!

Place ear corn in its own feeder and watch as your backyard wildlife feeds!

wholecorn

WHOLE KERNEL CORN
Feed all the wildlife in your backyard with this affordable and tasty treat — squirrels, chipmunks, turkeys and deer!

Many birds also like whole corn, such as jays and doves. It’s essential in your bird’s diet because it contains protein and fiber!

CrackedCorn

CRACKED CORN
A common and useful type of food for birds, cracked corn is often overlooked or dismissed as an inferior seed. Because it is easily available and affordable, however, cracked corn is a great option for feeding many backyard birds.

Many different types of birds will eat cracked corn, and they are often larger species with hearty appetites.

Suet Products

Suet is one of the top three foods to feed wild birds. Birds have high metabolic rates, so it is not unusual for birds to consume 1/4 to 1/3 their body weight worth of food a day! Offering suet, mixed with the highest quality grains, nuts, fruits, and flavored pellets provides a high caloric energy source for year-round feeding. Suet cakes can be fed as a primary food source or as a supplement to other seeds.
